As our community continues to grow, the city periodically reviews ward boundaries to ensure all residents get fair representation at the City of Ottawa.

Ward 24 - Barrhaven East was created out of that consideration. With few opportunities for new development, our ward is locally unique, as most of our growth pressures come from Ward 3 - Barrhaven West and Ward 22 - Riverside South-Findlay Creek.

With an exciting decade ahead for Barrhaven, it’s estimated that 13,000 new neighbours will join us, which presents an opportunity to design and build a town centre from the ground up.
