n keeping with this year’s theme of Shared Spaces – Creating Bird-Friendly Cities and Communities, our event will focus on celebrating birds, their habitat and conservation, in an accessible manner. We aim to raise awareness about birds and promote celebrating birds in our urban environment.

This is also a great opportunity to learn firsthand how Bird Friendly Ottawa and partners are working to transform Ottawa into a BirdFriendly City↗.

The day’s activities include:

• Learn to Bird workshops (aimed at kids and new birders)

• fun learning activities for children about birds 

• Guided birding walks in the area

• Observing birds from the shore using spotting scopes

• Displays from a variety of organizations: Safe Wings, Ecology Ottawa, Bird Friendly Ottawa, Canadian Wildlife Federation, CAFES, and others.
