
Construction
Major construction projects for 2025 in Barrhaven East, including road resurfacing, sidewalk rebuilds, and other work which may require road cuts, lane closures, or adjustments in traffic, pedestrian, and cyclist patterns are listed below. Some of the projects listed below may also be carried over or delayed from previous years.
Minor works, projects completed in previous years, fibre optic installations, and projects in other wards are not listed.

Natural gas substation
Earl Mulligan/Woodroffe
April to September
LAST KNOWN STATUS: NOT STARTED
Enbridge will be replacing natural gas infrastructure on the north side of Earl Mulligan near Woodroffe. When necessary, traffic entering Earl Mulligan will be diverted to the centre lane, while traffic exiting Earl Mulligan will be reduced to one left turn lane. Traffic impacts are expected off-peak only.
Streetlight relocation
Longfields/Bill Leathem roundabout
May to December (no firm dates yet)
LAST KNOWN STATUS: NOT STARTED
Some streetlights and underground wiring will be relocated as part of the future sortation facility project. Minor traffic impacts, including flagging around the roundabout, is expected.
Sidewalk repairs
Chapman Mills, north side, from Clearbrook to Meadgate

LAST KNOWN STATUS: NOT STARTED
Full rebuild of sidewalks on both sides of Stoneway between Wittingham and Forest Gate (east). Select panels will also be replaced between Woodroffe and Wittingham on the north side of Stoneway. Residents who will lose access to their driveways will receive a notice and a temporary street parking permit.
Infrastructure connection
Woodroffe/Deerfox-Stoneway

LAST KNOWN STATUS: DELAYED
Overnight construction at the intersection of Woodroffe/Deerfox-Stoneway to allow for a new water and sanitary connection to the commercial properties on the west side of Woodroffe. No closures expected, but lane reductions may be necessary to accommodate the works.
Road resurfacing
Prince of Wales between Rocky Hill and Lodge Road

LAST KNOWN STATUS: TBD
Prince of Wales Drive was resurfaced in 2023 between Lodge Road and Bankfield. A short section north of Lodge Road was due to be resurfaced but was delayed to accommodate road cuts for the police station construction.
Resurfacing will be completed at a future date.
