Holly Acres Road - Long-Term Sidewalk Closure - September 24 to December

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, a section of the north sidewalk on Holly Acres Road between Richmond Road and Highway 417 will be closed. A pedestrian detour will be in place.

What

Long-term closure of the north sidewalk on Holly Acres Road between Richmond Road and Highway 417.

When

Wednesday, September 24 at 6 a.m. until December 2025.

Why

Multiple scopes of work including flatworks. Crews will be working to build a new sidewalk.

Where

Holly Acres Road between Richmond Road and Highway 417.

Detour

Pedestrians using the north sidewalk on Holly Acres Road will need to cross the street and use the south sidewalk to continue through this area. Pedestrian crossings are located at the intersection of Holly Acres Road and the Transitway to the north of Highway 417, and at the intersection of Holly Acres Road and Richmond Road.

Anticipated Impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.

The safety of the public and workers is paramount,
